Our turkey came out delightful.
My daughter seems to have mastered the art of T-Giving dinner better than anyone I know of including Karen, who is a pretty good cook herself. Even she admits, Bri has it wired.

We went and had lunch with my mom at the old folks home. Good food there, but the place is damned expensive. Then we came home and cooked a turkey to warm up the house. With the deals they have, turkey is cheaper than dog food! Our dogs are going to have some great meals. Already stripped the carcass down for sandwiches and turkey soup.

My Charbecued turkey was the big hit at dinner last night - beautifully browned, moistest white meat anyone had ever had. I do a trick of hanging a Dutch oven pot filled with water (no lid) over the flames from the pyrolyzer. So the air temp in the barbecue kettle is not all that hot at first and the initial cooking is done by steam for about 1/2 hour (until it's all boiled off). Steam transfers heat about 10 times better than hot air, so even though the temp is only about 220 degrees the cooking is going much faster and not drying out the bird. It finished off in about 2-1/2 hours at 300.

Sous vide turkey breast, 138 degrees for 12 hours. Then seared off on cast iron in butter and herbs. Stovetop stuffing.

Yes, Betty Boop also had a great Thanksgiving doggie dinner, and a couple of chunks of leftovers this morning when she came in from doing her business.
Talk about an excited doggie, she always comes roaring in and heads straight for the bedroom where she does a Superman flying leap OVER the sleeping wifey and right to where her treats are.

I should film it but she doesn't cooperate. If she sees me filming, she stops..."WHAT??"

I see Loughlin and Giannulli backed out of a plea deal, despite all sorts of evidence. Prosecutors even say they have evidence their daughters participated in the scam, so they could be charged as well! Lori says her husband wants to go for "innocent by trial", because a guilty plea "would ruin their careers". I don't think he understands how American Justice works. Maybe Italian trials are more of a popularity contest, but he should pay attention to Bill Cosby's trial: Hugely popular, and yet sent to prison. They are now facing 50 year sentences if found guilty!

Huffman only got 11 days, but her bribe was only $15,000. Loughlin & Gianulli paid $500,000 and had their daughters pose for photos on rowing machines.

I don't think Lori Laughlin understands the justice system either.

Speaking of backing out, looks like California's Duncan Hunter is leaving Congress.

Quote
SAN DIEGO (AP) — U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter plans to plead guilty on Tuesday to the misuse of campaign funds and has indicated he will leave Congress.
