He is obviously not well liked but gets credit for the current economy and its REALLY good!

In other words I just don't believe that Trump is currently beatable. When you throw in the continuous rancor within the Democratic party I fear that is a fact.

The economy is not the stock market and the current economy is not particularly good. Trump is liked by republicans and disliked by democrats. And you know why those jobs numbers are so great?

It's because everyone is working their asses off at sh*tty jobs trying to make ends meet and going deeper and deeper in debt! The stock market is doing great because corporate America is doing great at separating people from money they don't even have.
Then it hires them for less than it costs to get by...

Waxing a bit hyperbolic this morning?

There's going to be an election. Then in a couple years, another one.

As near as I can tell, Republican policy always fails. Every Republican president leaves a bigger mess than he started with and every Democrat makes things ever so slightly better.

Republicans in general believe that if everybody would just leave Trump alone he would magically fix everything. Since Democrats have attacked him and obstructed his every move he has been held back from Making America Great Again. Everything that goes wrong is the fault of Democrats.

You can state that there will be an election, but neither you nor I can predict what that election will look like. The Federal Election Commission does not even currently have the necessary quorum to enforce FEC laws right now.

There will be an election? Sure, but will it be a valid American election or will it more closely resemble what elections look like in places where no such protections have ever existed?
Will it resemble an American election or an election in a place like Sudan, or Burundi?

You are flat out right about the Republicans. Their policies ALWAYS fail and then the Dems fix the problem they inherit. They never blame the Republicans, they allow themselves to be referred to as tax and spend democrats, etc. The simple fact is that they raise taxes to bail out what the Republican wrought. Obama was an excellent example of that one. We went into debt to bail out the banks and they too are likely to have at it again as Trump has changed what the Dems did to get them under control.

Then there is the job thing. ITS ALL ABOUT JOBS! Americans are, I think, the most productive work force in the world. We LOVE our jobs, good, bad, or otherwise. I spent a lot of time making sure my employees were not working for free! Almost every day I had to tell somebody that I did not want anybody working for me and not getting paid for it. I didn't do that out of the kindness of my heart but the law which would hammer me if I did that. Americans, I believe, would work for free if they could. I also used to gather everybody together when an election took place and explained that they should all vote and people who do not vote get screwed. Made no difference - they rarely voted. Believe me, its ALL about jobs! (and little else)

It is kinda interesting. The underpaid folks working for fast food places are an example of Americans at work. They all, for years, got screwed over by the fast food folks yet they loved their jobs. They were not the ones who rose up to get better pay, they are not organized, they just work. When the cries to help them are heard those cries are from others that are concerned, not the workers.

I have always thought we live in a very strange place......

Whaddya mean "AS IF Putin has taken control??"
Putin is ANNEXING the United States and all that's left is his Little Green Men arriving "to restore order".
We better wake up and deal with this before it is too late.
Even John Milius got it wrong!
We have one chance to get it right.

Capitol Hill, 11:16 PM, Collins is having a hissy fit and accusing Nadler of screwing up their schedules for tomorrow, and being "Stalinesque", when it was their nuclear powered ratchet mouths that stretched it into another day's proceedings.
Collins et al in Trumplandia tried their best to wear everyone down and it backfired on them.

Let's listen to Congressman Dale Gribble throw a temper tantrum.

MSNBC, Rick Wilson is full of crap.

"The Democrats Are Blowing Impeachment" - Daily Beast column

He says that Democrats passing trade deals and other useful legislation throws out confusing messages that take away from the focus of Trump being unfit.

Disagree, because Democrats have to hold themselves accountable for being capable of actually conducting the business of governing and lawmaking, you know, actually DOING SOMETHING that the people want.

This specifically throws a spanner into any future GOP gripe about do-nothing Dems.

Does anyone want to volunteer to keep a running tally of soft and cowardly Conserv-A-Dems who begin to waffle under GOP pressure to vote against the Articles?
