I have a serious problem with everything to do with Trump. Its really very simple. Trump has told over 15000 lies so far that have actually been documented! I have read that he lies 80% of the time! Nobody seems to question these figures, on either side. The difference is that one side doesn't like him and the other side dotes (be extremely and uncritically fond of) on him. So, the side that dotes are, apparently quite willing to vote for, dote on, and even though knowing the man is a flat out liar believe everything the man says! This is waaay past folks who just confuse TVland and reality.

I have seen, and read, and spoken to people, who are true believers as well as true believers. All of us have, on both sides.

I, literally, can't figure this one out! It makes absolutely no sense in any meaningful way. Its just not possible! I am talking about almost half the voters in the nation! Those still claiming to be Republicans can stand in front of you are explain how the man lies, all the time, and, then, say he doesn't. All in the same breath! Even if you love what the man has/is doing (packing the court to get rid of abortion, destroy public education, lower drinking water standards, destroy the VA, etc) how can these people support a flat out liar? For me this was the straw that broke the camel's back from the getgo. All the rest just re-enforces. Ma Republican, for instance, just seems to let it slide. I can't do that. Its just wrong, pure and simple, at least for me. I don't associate with liars, I raised my kinds to understand to stay away from liars, liars are bad - pure and simple, regardless of ANYTHING else.

So, I watch all of this, I listen (not really that much) to the Trump side. Not a single one of them has ever mentioned that the man lies. Their concern is that people don't like him and that upsets them. They are, basically, supporting a flat out liar.

The simple fact that the man is a flat out liar is understood by almost everybody at one level or another. This extends to his true believers (unless they are walking stumps). I have seen him lie in the same sentence! This, I think, is a given. The knowledge of this is, pretty much, universal and seems to just be an accepted part of our politics. His lies are rarely really looked at because they are a given - EVERYBODY knows it! Talk about lowering a bar!

Now he has been impeached, but not for lying! Its just yet another acceptable thing in our society! People are bringing up their children in an environment where we have a 'leader' who is a f*cking liar! Nobody seems to think this is bad/wrong, it just is.

So, the entire current crop of Republicans seem to have embraced a flat out liar. They don't defend that, they don't mention it, they just live with it. As far as I can tell nobody has ever asked one why. For the most part our media and news sources just accepts this as fact and move on.

The majority of United States Senators are constantly defending a man who constantly lies! His attorneys won't let him give sworn testimony because - HE LIES! Doesn't stop the senators from defending him and they NEVER even mentions that HE LIES! When any Republican senator is interviewed nobody even asks why (because everybody knows and accepts?)

So, have we turned into a nation that simply accepts a liar as the leader of the nation? Must be the case as nobody seems to care and its never mentioned.

There is a new group of Anti-Trump folks called the Lincoln Project "https://lincolnproject.us/" The founders are all ex Republicans. I have listened to them and read their stuff. They are against What he has done BUT - never even bother to mention that the man is a f*cking LIAR! I am all for them, I think they are doing the right thing but ........

The man is supported by Evangelical Christians, apparently every major group of Evangelicals are on the bandwagon - OF A F*CKING liar! (praise be?)

OH, if I offended I apologize - I, however, am offended by a LIAR that the good voters of America put in office.

What makes this particularly awesome is that a quick trip to any Facebook republican page will inform you that Trump has basically become Replacement Jesus.

So it's not that they overlook his lies and disgusting behavior, it's that they've deified him for it.

Most everybody believes that all politicians lie anyway so one that lies a little more than the others is not really a big stretch.

I don't get Trump either. I think it's pretty clear that The Republican Party has gone completely off the deep end on this one. They've turned into religious fanatics and have merged their religion and their politics to the point that Trump has been chosen by god and anyone who thinks otherwise is being controlled by the devil.

In simple terms, they are psychotic.

Another one of the guys involved is the guy who wrote; "Everything Trump Touches Dies" these people are old style Republicans who have simply had enough and are actually going to fight back. Long time coming but they are SERIOUS!

This morning my wife was watching Face the Nation. I didn't watch the whole show but I did notice something. They didn't, not one time, even bother to mention any Lies of Trump. Not a single time! His lies are so common, and known, that its become old hat and absolutely, as far as the talking heads are concerned, the norm.

Again - THIS IS WRONG!

Yes, it's either they're terrified of Trump's taunts of "fake news" or "far left media", or perhaps they're normalizing it because they think it's too good of a gravy train to give up, or they're just utterly incompetent.
Maybe a combination of all three?
In any case, they're not doing their job. The President of the United States is an impeached and unindicted co-conspirator in a vast network of foreign skullduggery which amounts to an attack on our national security.
Regardless of the shrill outrage, their expressed views and opinions do have an effect on how this rogue leader is perceived by the nation, and it is incumbent upon our press to define him as what he truly is, backed up by documented facts.

Media treats it as normalized BECAUSE IT IS! When dealing with Trump it has actually become a socially normal way to behave FOR HIM! NOBODY, so far, can determine why, exactly, this is true. But everybody knows it is. I suspect its because the base considers Trump, and TV Land, to be in complete sync and they live in that reality instead of the one the rest of us inhabit.

We live in VERY strange times. One can only hope that, eventually, truth and reality will win over TV Land, and bullsh*t.
