In other impeachment related news, George Nader becomes Trump's SEVENTH campaign adviser convicted of a major crime.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.

Quote
George Nader, a former informal adviser to President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, pleaded guilty this week to charges of child pornography possession and child sex trafficking, bringing the list of Trump advisers caught up in criminal activity to seven.

Nader, 60, entered his guilty plea on Monday, according to Courthouse News Service.

If I had my way, I'd have an amendment that would state that only a living, breathing citizen of the United States could donate to any political candidate or party.

Citizens United didn't say "corporations are people".
Mitt Romney said it on the campaign trail in 2012, but CU does not say that at all.

CU basically says that "a corporation is A PERSON" ....SINGULAR.
And that, in my humble opinion, creates an entirely new species of person, one made not of flesh, blood, muscle and bone, but rather, an IMMORTAL one made of glass, steel, concrete, lawyers and unlimited money.
And these new immortal and nearly omnipotent "persons" also have none of the responsibilities of mere mortals.

Corporations are people? Yeah sure, of course they are.
But a corporation is not "A PERSON" and there's a huge difference.
Person, people, I suppose that makes a difference, but semantics to me. This takes me back to my Constitutional Amendment where it would state something akin to, "Only a living, breathing citizen of the the United States can contribute or donate to a political candidate or party." Actually, I would like to take it even farther to include, if a living, breathing citizen can't vote for a candidate, that living, breathing citizen can donate or contribute to that candidate.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Actually, they are made of paper and are revokable, if the people/persons in charge had the people balls to do it.

You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.

They never do.
I will believe that a corporation is a person when the State of Texas puts one in the electric chair.

Now that was a good. I burst out laughing when I read it. Kudos my friend. I'll have to remember that one. Great.

Believe it or not, a few states actually have "executed" corporations for very bad behavior. It's not impossible. For example, the Trump Foundation.

As for the impossibility of amending the constitution, we are on the verge of having the ERA get the required number of state ratifications. Most of those have expired, but if they did it before, they may do it again.

A lot of businesses, companies, corporations fled the north to the south in the 1950's and 60's for lower state taxes and less state regulations. Plus the salries they had to pay was less with other advantages. Tax breaks was a good thing for the mostly rural south at that time. It meant good paying jobs and money and provided rabid growth in population.

Now I seen an advertisement about New York state a couple of days ago on TV promising 10 years of no state taxes to any business that moves into or back into New York state. I wondered seeing that how that makes the businesses already operating in New York State feel about that. They get nothing for staying, newcomers get everything.
