O ... so my question for all those folks is .... what would constitute an impeachable offense??? In the case of Donald Trump, I don't think he could commit any offense they would deem impeachable. He is immune to most laws and above the rest. He has been beatified, canonized, and deified by "the base". It's all about that base. So the question really is what would turn them against him? A recession would make him impeachable.

The Trump hack judge that is considering the "shall furnish tax returns" law has put off any decision until the Court of Appeals gets around to deciding if McGahn has to obey the House subpoenas, for no apparent reason at all. The two cases have no relation, other than being harmful to King Trump. Playing Keepaway This judge needs to be impeached.

Watching tv this morning. Somebody pointed out that just about everybody that was on board during the Clinton impeachment has now done a complete turnaround (both sides). Thought that pretty interesting. Kindofa marvelous display of political hackdom?

Thought that pretty interesting. Kindofa marvelous display of political hackdom? I noticed that when this whole thing began. I've come to the conclusion a long time ago that neither party really stands for anything except for whatever will give them a political advantage. In the end, it's all about the letter behind the name. Nothing more, nothing less.
It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I am not sure of that. The Dems, however, doesn't really present a real idea of what they stand for except for the current drive to prove their ability to Tax and Spend.
The other party, the Republicans, however, do - Trumpism, pure and simple. There are no plans, no point of view, they simply stand for their Jackass President Trump. Nothing else is important to them.

According to Trump’s defense rationale, the Republicans were egregiously wrong in impeaching Clinton.
However, they established a precedent that will need to be corrected before they can acquit Trump, in all fairness. I wonder how they will do that? Maybe that’ll be Ken Starr’s job...
More likely, fairness will not be a factor... they are Republicans, after all.
