Interesting point: Can lawyers be charged with perjury for lying to congress in their opening statements, or are all lawyers just expected to lie? Trump's lawyer made the known false claim that Republicans did not have the chance to hear or question witnesses in the House investigation, when about half of each committee consisted of Republicans. The opposing counsel called him on that lie in their rebuttal, but still, is that not perjury? Are the impeachment lawyers considered something like officers of the court with an obligation not to lie? Or do they just get disbarred after the fact?

Imagine, the very idea of consequences for bad acts.
What a concept. There is another concept, the loophole all republicans use for their reprehensible acts. Forgiveness. All they have to do is pray to Almighty God for His forgiveness and it's a done deal. Such is Faith. And thus republicans are able to forgive other republicans because they know that God has already forgiven them for any previous devious deeds and dead bodies. Godless Democrats...not so much. Has anyone else noticed the uncanny resemblance between Donald Trump and early representations of Moloch?

Suppose for a second Hunter Biden was indeed involved in corrupt schemes with Barisma. Does that justify solicitation of foreign assistance in 2020 election campaign? And why just Hunter Biden? Why not Devon Archer? He is an American who served on the board of Burisma.
I think it is clear Mr Trump was only after the Biden's and not Ukrainian corruption. At the time, I would love to know what opposing campaigns Biden pere at fil were working on, maybe Obama's third term?

First, I think, they gotta be sworn in, just like anybody else. This is how the Jackass Trump gets away with his constant lying.
I am also for changing the law for defamation to include politics. That would, I suspect, provide EVERYBODY with a LOT of humor?

GOP has been shrieking their demands for Hunter and Joe Biden as witnesses for the defense. And now suddenly, Lindsey Graham, one of the most vocal of them all, is reportedly is spiking the idea altogether. Why?? They have 53 votes to 47 so if they want Hunter Biden, or even Joe Biden, they can subpoena them and force them to testify. The hints are rather obvious in this statement by Chuck Schumer. “By the way, and people forget this,” Schumer added. “The Republicans could call Hunter Biden on their own, they have 53 votes. You know why they don’t? Because they know that will just confirm to every American that everything the president is doing has done in this whole sad saga, everything the president’s lawyers are doing, everything the Republican senators are doing is just political.” Hey guys, what's up? Cold feet? Cold feet about what damage Biden pere et fil might do to your shiny new acquittal?
