A lot more than that. If this continues we will go back to the old standards and European nations will start building their armies and all the rest of it. Trump is working really hard to make sure they all split up. I haven't seen a list of things he has done in the interest of Putin but it seems to be A LOT!
At the risk of repeating. Trump is, as far as I can tell, one of the the worst businessmen of all time, worldwide. Everything he has touched has gone down. The other night I watch Bill Mayer and he listed many Trump 'businesses' that failed and that was most of them. His daddy gave him 450 million dollars! The result was no less than 6 bankruptcies! He now has over 16,000 verified lies to credit. He claims to be a great builder yet nobody will work for him unless he pays them up front! There remains a pile of lawsuits for when he leaves the presidency.
These are all facts! There are no doubts about it. None of this makes any sense to me.

Yeah, but if we lose the republic, I don't care about all the other stuff.
What can we do to help you stop screaming?

I find that one of the most reliable news sources is actually Trump, if you assume that what ever he has to say or tweet is a lie. I don't think he bothers to communicate with the public at all, unless he wants to lie about something.
When the senate acquits him, it's just going to get worse. By November, Republican congressmen will be scurrying about like rats deserting a sinking ship, trying to find lucrative think tank jobs, conservative law firms, or corporate boards they can join. But even if most Republican senators lose reelection, there still won't be enough Democrats to impeach all of Trump's incompetent judges. That would take place after 2022.

Democratic voters have a better than even chance this time around to re-take the White House. Because Donald Trump is incompetent. The makeup of the 33 Senators up for re-election make flipping the Senate at least an even chance. Because Donald Trump is incompetent.
Do ya 'magine that Biden will become a hero of the people and bring out the adoring masses to defeat the few remaining Republicans in 2022 and 2024? He's the corporate candidate after all, why wouldn't everyone love him? Corporations are people and the Democrats are the people's party right? And working across the aisle is the most important thing right?
I don't see it working out. Because Joe Biden is incompetent.

Incompetence is one thing. Being incompetent but thinking you are a genius and know everything better than any expert (or even just competent) adviser is another. Biden would not be Trump, and would not assume everything anybody else did is wrong. Trump fired all his Generals on staff because he knew better than they did. He trusted Putin (and other miscreants) over his entire intelligence community. Biden would not do either of those.
I'm sure Biden's idea of "the best people" to fill appointments would be far different from Trump's purposefully appointed aholes to sabotage agencies and government functions.

I reckon we'll see. He won't be as bad as Trump but he also won't be hard for republicans to defeat in 2024. That's my whole issue with Biden.

McConnel Says GOP Doesn't Have Votes To Block WitnessesWell, well, well. Looks like its about to get interesting . As I recall, Bolton was pissed when he left. This might be a good learning point for all concerned on the importance of not stabbing your own people in the back.

Trump has allowed corrupt Republicans to come out of the closet as nakedly concerned about keeping power and cutting taxes for the rich and not have to bother with dressing up as thoughtful, sensible servants of the public.

With all the attention the very avid pro and anti Trumpers are giving the trial, arguing over having witnesses or not. Perhaps it’s all meaningless. Most Americans have their minds made up about Trump’s impeachment and removal way before the official hearings began on 13 Nov. Less and less folks are giving the trial much attention, tuning it out and watching impeachment free TV shows and networks. Going about their daily lives giving impeachment and removal not a thought. “For all the gravity of a presidential impeachment trial, Americans don’t seem to be giving it much weight.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/divided-america-voters-tuning-impeachment-194643325.htmlThe results were well known in advance. The only suspense is how Collins, Murkowski, Jones and Manchin will vote. Will they be loyal to their party or to the folks in their states? I was around for Nixon’s impeachment, everyone seemed glued to it. Bill Clinton’s, not so much. Trump’s is even less. Could it be Bill Clinton’s and Trump’s were/are one partisan political party affairs? Nixon’s was more non-partisan and Nixon’s crime warranting impeachment and removal much easier for the public to understand. Who care about lying to congress or obstruction of congress? Congress critters lie to us every day. Besides, congress was a more respected institution back in 1974. Not so today when only 24% of all Americans view Congress favorably while 64% view them unfavorably. Trump has a higher favorable rating than that, 43% favorable/51% unfavorable. Seems to me that if one isn’t a political junkie, if one doesn’t either love or hate Trump, if one isn’t a die-hard political party loyalist, the average American isn’t paying the trial much attention.
It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
