NO WITNESSES OR SUBPOENAS Perfect! They fell for Pelosi's trap. They have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind come November. Every Democrat is going to feature pictures of their incumbent Republican opponent as a kangaroo court juror. Now Pelost gets to subpoena and investigate all she wants with no need to ever send anything to the Senate again. It'll be non-stop fun when all those Trump officials are told by the court they have to obey subpoenas or go to jail and Trumps taxes show he's into the Russian mob for millions. Trump also has to cough up DNA which will match that lady's dress or admit he lied and settle her suit without the DNA. Not to mention all of his money laundering that is going to be revealed when his books get to congress.

This "election year" bull**** has got to stop. That was the same play they made for Merrick Garland. It was BS then, it is BS now. The Constitution doesn't only apply in off-years. The government does not only operate around the election cycle. It seems Republican will use any excuse to avoid doing their duty. Being a Republican shall, forevermore, be a badge of shame, meaning "scoundrel", "layabout" and "man without honor."

I just had a casual realization that the spell has broken.
Trump (and the GOP) have just lost a huge amount of influence, though in a completely undramatic way, with both those who fear him and those who revere him.
I predict that his presence will slowly evaporate between now and the elections, he may even fizzle and go out on a personal level. One of the indicators is the apparent gut level need, expressed by many of the GOP Senators, to confess that Trump did wrong, but they are just not going to remove him. That they were dishonest and willing to cheat outrageously to "win" is now clear.
Of course, more and more evidence will come out about Trump's egregious behavior, but now the mood has shifted and far fewer people will feel inclined to defend him.
The spell has broken.
