It's all about timing: Pelosi is a master politician. Trump is not. By November, it won't even be close. Republicans have sealed their fate with the weight of a rigged trial around their necks. Everybody knows it was rigged, even Trump supporters. They could have made a much better fake trial by seeming to be fair and then voting just short of conviction. They didn't because they want everybody to know it was rigged. This is hubris, and non-idiots know how that always works out.

Everything that comes out over the next 9 months is just going to add to that weight.
