That's really the only thing I am concerned about if he gets the nod. I keep remembering all them, from the religious right, that support Jackass Trump. However, that being said I hope that those on the Democratic side are not quite so upset with having a queer president. Oh, 'queer' is unfortunate but 'gay' is seriously offensive. There is NOTHING particularly 'gay' about being 'queer'!

I'm not the least bit upset because it would be no different than working for a gay supervisor, and with nearly a forty year career in the film-TV industry, I've worked under plenty of them. They weren't "GAY supervisors"...they were just supervisors. Pete would not be a "GAY president", he'd just be a president. The problem is, so much of the rest of the world WOULD view him as a "GAY president" and there's the rub, there's the risk. It's not our fault, and it sure as Hell isn't Pete's fault, it's the fault of backward people and backward societies who have not yet evolved to the point where they realize his sexual orientation is none of their damn business.

Whatever evidence was offered failed to convince a single person who wasn't convinced way back before the official hearings. In fact on 13 Nov 48% of Americans were in favor of impeachment and removal, 45% against. Today it's 47% for impeachment and removal, 48% against. A very minor shift of 4 points, but 4 points against the Democrats point of view.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

But the intent of sending it to the senate was never about getting a conviction. It was so everybody voting for a congressman in November knows in their heart the Republicans are totally corrupt. Without the kangaroo court trial, we wouldn't have Romney's speech about voting to convict. I think Utah just turned Blue.
