I have "known" many right wing (im)moderators who are rabid free speech freedom fighters (for the rights of their favorite propagandists) who yet see their status as Lord and Master of the Blog as giving them the pure right to authoritarian censorship. The irony is always lost on them.

Hell, I even got banned from a leftie blog for getting too witty with the dimwits! Tolerance is not generally a top human quality.

Not to disrupt the discussion, but I've been working remotely with a smart phone and I-pad for about three weeks. Got an email from corporate last Monday saying we had until midnight Tuesday to get anything out of our office so I go in and get my laptop, which generally stays docked. I have converted my man cave into a corona work cave- complete with desk, putting green and dart board. HDTV of course. Needless to say, my putting stroke has improve exponentially and a dart in my hand is no longer a weapon of mass destruction!

Well, I'm going to be more active, now, as I just got banned from that "other" place. Yeah, me. Rational, humorous, even-keeled, little old me. Fascists are gonna be Fascists.

The moderator in question was complaining in the thread about derisive language being used against the president. Rightwingers are such snowflakes.

What a petty, vindictive, low-brow, small man we have for a prez. Small fingered orange vulgarian works for me.

...and a dart in my hand is no longer a weapon of mass destruction! I'm sure Mrs. Live appreciates fewer holes in the dry wall too.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Used to ride a dirt bike for fun. Love golf too. I'm older now and couldn't keep from acting a fool on the bike. Can't ride a bike forever, but I figure I can play golf as long as my health holds up. I was one tree away from screwing up my golf forever so I sold all toys and am sticking to golf- and darts. Practicing my hobbies while working ain't a bad life. Actually, golf is still doable. Ya have 4/group, you're outside and you can do the social distancing thing- provided everyone has their own cart. I would put fishing in with relatively safe activities as well. but me no fish.

Golf carts really changed the nature of the game. Used to be you had to walk the full course. Rich guys got a caddy to carry their clubs, but you still had to walk. Now you can just lash your portable oxygen tank on the cart and hobble around. I wonder when the'll put IV poles on all the carts? I played just long enough to get a hole in one. Figured I couldn't improve on that, so I never went back.
