Texas Lt. Governor offered to sacrifice himself for the economy.
I'm all in on old White Republicans politicians committing suicide on national TV to appease God somehow. Who knows, it might work. Of course, various economists have figured out an average human live is worth about 10 million dollars. So maybe we want to start at the top and work our way down, so we do the minimal amount of economic harm to the economy. Assuming that's what we are trying for, right?
The Lt. Governor and Glen Beck have volunteered to go first.

Ya know 0n December 26th, 2004 I read on this site from a Ham radio operator of a massive earthquake along the Pacific Rim. It was not on the news, I heard about it here first. (Don't recall the handle of the ranter back then) I believe that was on a Saturday so I went to church the next day- nothing. News had broke that hundreds were missing and feared dead. when it finally got real, the numbers climbed into the thousands.I decided to give church one more try- preacher said nothing. Meanwhile, a couple of very right wing Baptist preachers went public about why all those thousands of people were suddenly swept away- that area was a hot spot for homosexual couples and god was punishing them. That's when I lost my religion- if one can call a Methodist religious..... But if PIA's post is accurate, I might just start praying again. Have at it Lt Gov. ...And that's all I have to say about that!
What if the Hokey-Pokey REALLY IS what it's all about? God Hates Me
Evangelicals are in a no-win situation here: Most of them went along with Trump's BS claims, so in turn they denied the virus even existed, claimed it was a Democratic plot against Trump, claimed it was just like the flu, claimed there were just 15 cases in America to be zero soon, claimed it was all under control, claimed God would protect them, etc. One preacher even had his congregation all get down and lick the floor.
Now they are expected to join the Mammon-worshipers and sacrifice themselves for the sake of the stock market. Wasn't it Jesus who drove the moneymen out of the temple? Is that why he ended up on the cross? Come on guys, how many commandments do you have to break before you see you are following a minion of Satan?
They'll just move on the next snake oil salesman without a word. They always seem to be looking for a new savior, a second coming, a true prophet for our times...the kind that the Bible tells them is always false.
A Tampa megachurch pastor was arrested today for holding services after being warned not to...
I wish there was a hell. First thing I'd do is kick the televangelist's ass- plus Rush... But I don't believe in hell anymore than I believe in Heaven... Just me....

But I don't believe in hell anymore than I believe in Heaven
I don't either, other than the Heaven or Hell we make on Earth. But THEY do. That's why I think it's fair to point out stuff in their Bible that Jesus said, that they ignore.
As Gandhi said: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians."
I was a little disappointed he failed to mention that comparing between the average vitamin D level of < 25 in Americans to somewhere in the 40-60 range, you get a 70% benefit in avoiding pulmonary infections. D modulates the immune response responsible for ARDS, along with a whole slew of other good things. It actually interacts with every cell in the body, because they all have Vitamin D receptors. It interacts with over 2000 different genes!
Everything he had to say was true, but there's a lot more information out there. The MedCram videos on YouTube are very detailed, and yet start from a pretty basic understanding of Biology. Dr. John Campbell videos on YouTube are very informative at a basic level for non-medical people. But I have to admit, this guy was pretty funny. No F-bombs or stories about pimps on the other videos.
I decided to just go ahead and believe what I wanted to believe. It's not like it makes much difference whether you believe in something or don't believe in something.
My people don't have a lot of rules and commandments. We have eight words.
If it harm none, do what ye will.
We also have something we call the rule of three. What you give comes back threefold. Be it good or bad.
