Actually, GreatNews, there are only a couple of what I would call socialists here. Most of the regulars are pretty centrist except for one conservative at the moment.
My attitude is: We need capitalism, but it has to be regulated to keep it working. Almost all of our current retirement income is because my wife and I made some careful investments during our working lives. We have rental properties, and are very fortunate our tenants all seem to remain employed and paying their rent. But we wouldn't evict anybody now if they couldn't pay. Our tenants don't have the resources we have.
Agreed, 100%, and I also have tenants; some are not paying... but I won't evict them either.
