"Sixty percent (60%) of whites and 61% of other minority voters put all lives first. Among blacks, 44% say black lives matter; 47% all lives matter."
I'm fairly new here, although I have followed BLM for a long time especially on another site. I think the choice of names, "Black Lives Matter," by itself was a bad PR move. That it should have been, "Black Lives Matter Too, or also." Leaving off the too or also leaves the impression that to them, only black lives matter and no one else. Although that couldn't be farther from the truth.
The initial motive was to say, "Hey, our lives matter also." Not just yours. But that isn't the perception out there among the masses. Very bad PR choice of the name. But the trend now is in BLM's favor despite the name and its implication.
Pretty sure it's the overall, broader idea versus semantics at play here.
