Black Lives Matter says nothing about other races. I think the only people who see it as diminishing the importance of White lives, would be the racists who feel the need to be superior over Black people.
Our national zeitgeist until very recently has been Black Lives Don't Matter.
I think you stumbled on the problem with the overall perception of BLM. They say nothing about the other races leaving the impression that only Black Lives Matter. It's like I said, it is a bad PR problem with the name itself. If this was a political campaign slogan, it would have been changed immediately once it became clear of how a majority of the people perceived it. A huge handicap. You can say only racists, that probably fits nicely into your political agenda and view.
There aren't that many folks who follow politics closely enough as those on this site or other political sites. They hear the name, Black Lives Matter and then tend to think or ask, What about all other races, about every life?
The name itself, not its agenda is a turnoff to 60% of whites, 61% of all other minorities other than blacks. Now I don't think you can call 60% of all whites and 61% of all other minorities than blacks racist. That's too easy a fall back.
It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
