emergency kit for driving in snowy mountainous areas I always take my emergency safety kit when driving in snowy mountainous areas. Make sure "passengers" know how to find it in case you are hurt, though planning does make some uncomfortable. And, it's really best to not try to go it alone!

I always take my emergency safety kit My dad was from Wisconsin so he was always prepared...A bottle of whiskey under the drivers seat. He could handle anything but sobriety.

My wife is from LaCrosse Wi, right across the Mississippi from Minnesota and everyone drove drunk, which I couldn’t understand, as at that time they had the record for most bars/mile, 400 plus, and one on every corner’ La Crosse (WI), with over 360 bars, is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most bars per capita and also for the most bars on one street. OK, I stand corrected and guilty of gross exaggeration and negligent disinformation!  In my defense, it isn't easy to count them on a bar crawl while seeing double!
