My wife is a native of LaCrosse in very Western, Wisconsin, too darn close to Minnesota lutefisk eaters right across the mighty Mississip, and their accents call umbrellas, UUMMbrellas. Im from the much more cultured and radical Madison!

My SIL lives in Southern Wisconsin that suffers from the same kind of invasion from those troublesome southern states, particularly Illinois mostly from Chicago. They refer to them as FIBS, short for Fvcking Illinois Basturds! Is there a local term for Wisconsin invaders?
