Julia,

The TIDE DYED and TRUE fans the likes of me eschew drinking on football days. It costs a whole heck of a lot of money to attend these games. I fail to see why one who wants to zone themselve out or work themselves into a fighting mood would want to pay that sort of money and invest that amount of time.....They could just go to a sports bar. I sit far, far away from the students and in my section there is seldom drinking. I LOVE IT.

There is a time and a place for just about everything.

Also, chunk out a big enough amount of change, and one doesn't have to get wet. We are next to the press box and stay nice and dry. We were at one game (in the old Legion Field, when the electricity failed) Mr. BamaMama said it might be the only football game he had ever attended that was called on account of darkness.

We have yet to see the National Park sites in Nebraska. Last year on the way to the Arkansas game we stopped by Kansas and saw most of that state. (don't even try to understand the geography of getting to Arkansas from NorAl by way of Kansas.) Next year, we are going to take more time and see Nebraska. IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME!!!

Kathy
