I've seen a lot of f*cked up sh*t going on and never hear any of it attributed to Asperger's Syndrome. It's not even a real thing medically...more a catch phrase for high functioning autistics.
Asperger syndrome, or Asperger’s, is a previously used diagnosis on the autism spectrum. In 2013, it became part of one umbrella diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5 (DSM-5).
Typical to strong verbal language skills and intellectual ability distinguish Asperger syndrome from other types of autism.
It's a bit like owning a particular make and model car that you happen to really like, and then you start noticing them around town.
You have a dark blue 70 Chevelle and suddenly you're noticing dark blue 70 Chevelles.
You haven't seen any bad s*** attributed to Aspies, but I have...what can I say.
I own "one of those Chevelles" ever since being diagnosed at age 46.
PS: Autism Speaks is...shall we say, a problematic organization, and that's not an opinion unique to me.

The problem with being autistic is that you are either considered too “high functioning†to be REALLY autistic and therefore your opinion doesn’t matter, or you are considered too “low functioning†to have an opinion.
