So what would have been the problem with President Ahmadinejad laying a wreath at the WTC Memorial?
It would have provided a media event protraying Ahmadinejad as a human being sympathetic to the victims. As Philly Steve pointed out, that doesn't fit into the Administration's propaganda.
Philly Steve, I don't doubt that those are the aspirations of the
Cheney Bush Administration, but I am not so pessimistic as to dismiss the possibility that circumstances are different
enough that we
won't get fooled again.
