I just got an alert on my phone from the Washington Post: the newly-named Jeopardy host has resigned.

Oh my giddy aunt, whatever would I have done had one of the nation’s largest newspapers not alerted me to this stunning event?i And I’ll bet the NewYork Times follows up with a similar “alert.”

Jee-bus.

It's actually pretty big news...Mayim Bialik was the choice to replace Trebek and somehow this other jerk shoehorned himself into the regular daytime job and shoved her aside...then it turns out he's been involved in some sort of offensive behavior and has been forced to resign.

It's worth a chuckle and Bialik deserves the job.

I hadn't heard because I don't let anybody send me notifications but it's been in the headlines for 2-3 weeks.

I understood that they both got the job (sharing it.) I’m not saying it might not be interesting; I’m just saying it isn’t worthy of a news alert.

---I thought Mayim Bialik was part of that Jenny McCarthy lefty anti-vax thing.

She says no, that was never her intent. I’ll see if I can find her explanation; I’ll add it to this post shortly.

Bialek and vaccinations

I do think her earlier comments/actions leaned towards anti-van but she seems to have walked it back in action and deed.

I first read that as "inaction, indeed."

You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.

I must admit I am a bit of a fan; I think she’s a good role model who makes a real effort to share information beyond her acting career.l think it’s great for kids to know that you can be an actor AND a scientist. And she had a podcast, for a while, focusing on mental health. Another, I think, on healthy foods and child rearing in a liberal Jewish tradition. I tend to cut her some slack, possibly more than I should.

Wondered where you were keeping yourself (in terms of the Rant, but I also see you’ve relocated.)

You’d probably like to know that as I came back through the doors here, I had a mental image of Donna, welcoming me into the women’s’ locker room! I’m sure I’m not the only one who remembers her, and your friendship with her.

Thanks for the welcome.

I’ll try to slow down my posting in the next few days but it’s hard when I’m anxious to hear what you have to say.
My opinion is that Joe did the right thing.

Trump and Pompeo made as poor a deal as anyone could. Donald Trump gave the Taliban everything that they wanted: The entire country and the release of 5,000 prisoners in exchange for not shooting our troops on their way out. The Afghan government was not included in the talks of these negotiations at...all.

Now Rightwingers are saying:

Why did Joe Biden pull-out? Bad Joe Biden!

Ol' Joe pulled out because Liberal America does not welch on commitments - clearly welching on commitments and Agreements is a conservative thing.

America's word is its bond - as it should be. Bow
