Damn! Had I known you were that well-heeled I’d have given you the full Warren Buffett treatment. As I’ve never met either of you, though, that doesn’t really mean much.

So far global warming has improved the weather here too.
My house just went on the market for a ridiculous amount of money. I haven't lived there for nearly a year and the market has just gone crazy. I was hoping to get 260 but it just listed for 419...

Well, I don’t expect perfection out of anyone or anything. There’s less disappointment thataway.
That's always a good approach when dealing with me.
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
Okay, y’all. I remember there was a trick to setting the time here, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was. Anybody want to give me a hint? I select my time zone and it’s 3 or 4 hours off. TIA
I'm almost positive that Doug set Virginia time as the "correct" time, not Greenwich Mean Time.

There was supposed to be this neighborhood built in my town for "working families" that had a income cap of $80K. It was a new green/socially aware company. The houses were to sell for $245K, 1150 sq foot house, 4,500 sq foot lots. Then the price went to $285K, Then in December 2020 the price went to $315K
They started the project in January 2018. They had never done a community before. Everything was a learning cure for them. Between being completely inexperienced and learning about regulations and permitting etc, they FINALLY got approved to sell houses. Then COVID hit and the whole thing went on hold. Pretty much from March 2020 to January 2021, the builder waited for the County to record the lots. That's all that had to be done...record the lots.
...but with everyone at the Country working from home, it took nearly nine months to get this task done. Then in February 2021 lumber prices started going up. Then on April 23, 2021, I was the first one they called to tell that the neighborhood will never be built - because I was the first one in January 2018 to contact them.
Anywhoooo...
I started looking at homes in my town. Generally around $325 - flipped house, but with foundation issues. Nearly all of he flips have foundation issues. The flips just put lipstick on a pig. If you want a "nice" house, you need to spend $450K
By June 2nd...about six, seven week, NO house was listed on the MLS for less than $350K.
I was pissed. For about 10 minutes, I literally looked at the MLS in Spokane. But Spokane is the desert. I want to live by the water. I totally forgot about the Olympic Peninsula. The way I think...there's Seattle...ocean...China.
In reality...there is Seattle...Olympic Peninsula...ocean...China.
My Realtor and I went to the Peninsula and first outting up there, I put two offers in on houses and got the one I really wanted...it's three houses from the beach. The beach is literally a 45 second walk for me.
Got Junk came today...got rid of a lot of stuff that I didn't want, need, or use. Tomorrow the movers are coming...College Hunks is the name of the company - they better not flash advertise, that's all I have to say.
