Today, HR put out an announcement that effective MO 10/25/21, starting pay will go from $16.00 to $18.00. Everyone at under $18.00 will automatically be raised to $18.00 and their hours get reset to zero. (We get a raise every 1040 hours until we're topped-out.)
My co-workers were all: "What about us who are topped-out?"
Me: "We''ll a $2.00 bump too. Calm down."
The company that I work for is well-known for having "lifers" - people with 30+ years of service.
