A senior mentor of mine in kidney pathology went over to England and figured it was his duty as a kidney specialist that he should try steak and kidney pie. He said "It was distinctly uriniferous!" Pathologist arent really into eating organ meats, it way to much like work. Many pathology interns turn vegetarian for a while, as walking past the Kroger's meat display was similar to work. Its fun eating with pathologists when they point out that little scar in your steak and start running through the differential diagnosis for it. Tumor, abscess, parasite etc, or just trauma. Weight loss is common in Pathology residents.
