It is my opinion Democrats haven't looked at the 2020 election as a whole or at all the offices on the ballot. Just took the presidential as a mandate for their major legislation initiatives Taking the 2020 election as a whole, the whole ballot to me plainly said it was a rejection of Trump. Perhaps Virginia gives added fuel to my opinion. But not an endorsement for the Democrats considering the democrats lost 13 house seats, 2 state legislatures and a governorship.

A presidential candidate who wins the popular vote always brings in new house members or has since 1884. Even if the Democrats had broken even in the House instead of adding seats, they would have a 235-200 advantage. The 5-10 moderates voting no or being a thorn in the side on the 3.5 trillion bill wouldn't have meant a thing. Losing those 13 seats was a huge obstacle in pushing the Democratic agenda through the House.

I know, numbers. But numbers to me says or even dictates what is possible.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
