I get the flu shot every year. My honey is high risk. Ironically, last night was spent nursing my son who was throwing up half the night. He's better now.

My wife, Sarah, has been using a Go Go Traveler Elite scooter for nearly a decade. It is not kidding about scooting! Not sure what the top speed is, but when she's in a hurry, I can't keep up. The nice thing, though, is that it breaks down into manageable pieces for transportation. I usually leave three pieces together, but I take off the battery and seat. All together it's 105 lbs, but each piece is about 30-35 lbs.

I have not yet gotten pneumonia or shingles shots, but will when eligible. I had everything as a kid - measles, mumps, and chicken pox. I guess that means I was "sickly".

By the way, I've invested wisely during my "youth", so I am now withdrawing monthly from my retirement funds, keeping it under 5% per anum. So far, the increase in value has exceeded withdrawals. 4-5% of the principle is usually safe for withdrawal without eating into it - unless you are invested in Treasuries. (I trained as a financial planner, but never opted to get a CFP.)

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
