I tried to explain it to jgw in another thread and it falls on deaf ears...Pero, thought it had something to do with something about WW2 that wasn't actually socialism...

Those old enough to remember the USSR may not recall that most everything you knew about them was US propaganda. And most everything you know about Russia today is US propaganda. But the USSR and Russia weren't in any way socialist...

So, no, Mr. Porter. Your average moderate democrat has no idea what socialism is because it would require them to shed their elitist right-wing notions of what's best for America.
