Nixon was a liberal president. He opened relations with Red China, gave us the EPA, OSHA, the Endangered Species Act, imposed wage and price controls along with proposing your minimum living wage. Nixon was all for Affirmative Action and federal funding for education among other things.
All stuff no Republican would even think of today. Yet, we call Nixon a conservative. Without Watergate, I wonder how history would look at Nixon.
