Not really.
You believe criminals should not be investigated or even bothered, especially if they are politicians or to type it another way, if you are elected you are above the law. Since the public should have some trust in their elected officials, should those officials break the law, they should be prosecuted, even if politicians.
So if you got a call on the intelligence tip line which possibly implicated a political candidate, you would immediately throw it in bin 13, even if there were national security implications. Kewl .... I don't want you running the FBI in fact I wouldn't want you taking complaints from the kiddie playground.
