My brother-in-law was a biology professor at Illinois State University for years before retiring to an emeritus professorship at UH Hilo for a few years. He did his post-doc work in the lab of the guy who invented HIV protease inhibitor. (Too bad he didn't stay with that lab, since they sold their company for billions!) My sister-in-law was a CPA, working for several companies before they both retired to Maui, Just talked with them today. Life on Maui sounds lovely. Of course, they have so much tourist traffic every day they have Covid there like everybody else.
