I’m sure some of you will be willing to answer this, but please be aware I’m looking for a legal or moral answer, rather than “just because. “
From the AP article I read, it appears that the Texas hostage taker was killed shortly after the last hostage was released. I don’t understand why he was killed. Clearly I’m not defending anything he did. And I do understand that he was armed.
Still, it seems as though all too often in this country we tend to shoot first and ask questions later. This guy was killed when most of the danger was over. And apparently the cops aren’t saying anything about who actually shot him.
