Teenagers arrested in UK as hostage taker namedTwo teenagers have been arrested in Manchester as part of the investigation into a hostage-taking of worshippers at a synagogue in Texas on Saturday.
Greater Manchester Police said the two teenagers had been arrested on Sunday evening “as part of the ongoing investigation into the attack†and were being held for questioning. The force said it was working with local communities and assisting the United States investigation.

The early reports after the end of the event simply stated that the man was dead, with no indication of how he had died. Some reports weren’t even clear that he was armed. I also saw some speculation that he wanted to die.
I’m used to seeing this information in reporting and it was quite obviously missing.
Facts “on the ground†seemed scarce early on and remain scarce now.
The man was clearly violent, clearly mentally disturbed, and clearly a danger to self and others; he was also armed.
I really do think the death of suspects prior to arrest, BLM and others like them, need to be investigated no matter how straightforward they seem. The right to a fair trial is a cornerstone of our nation, and it needs to be preserved. (Accurate and complete reporting would be useful too.)

"Accurate and complete reporting would be useful too"
Sure would. The newspapers do a pretty good job, the TV not so much. The TV Newsies seem to be more interested in making the news than reporting the news and its a bit offsetting to watch them do that. They seem to dote on the how and why more than all five. The problem is that when they cover the how and why its usually reporting their own druthers rather than fact. One could go on and on about this one but I am going to resist.
Oh, almost forgot. It also seems to me that women 'TV reporters' seem to be more inclined than the men reporters in this regard. I think that the ones that tend to squint when they thenk they are making the news are, for me, the very worst.
Just saying...............

I think this is way too much speculation without any facts. Sure Texas law enforcement is not particularly fond of Muslims, but until we get some actual facts keep in mind "suicide by cops" and "armed" usually mean the perp fired his weapon at police, and they returned fire. Not any kind of crime by the police.
Save your outrage until we find out he was disarmed and handcuffed on the ground before he was shot in the back. Unfortunately, that kind of homicide happens all too often. Let's not "cry wolf" until we actually see a wolf.

PIA - Definitely too much speculation going on here. I agree.
My original question had to do with the fact that information isn’t really forthcoming. Every newspaper article I check says the man died. They are very very careful not to say how he died, and that’s what intrigues me. Most of the articles I remember seeing on anything like this, usually state almost immediately weather perpetrator’s death was by law enforcement or was self-inflicted.

Doesn't the lack of information tell you what really happened given how situations like this are usually written about?

I disagree. The fact that so much time has gone by with no details tells me that Law Enforcement is trying to concoct a salable story so that no officer gets indicted for murder.

According to the Washington Post, he was shot by the FBI.
