Raffensperger wants to get reelected. Democrats are probably not going to vote for him, so his only option is to try to appeal to Republican voters. But he's probably hosed if he has to run against other Republicans in a primary.

For sure Trump would have been MUCH better of if he had lost. I think that was his plan from the start, but he screwed up and won. He could have kept on with all his scams, plus had the credibility of having run for President. Winning was a disaster for him. He had no clue how to be a POTUS, so he just took the route he understood of mob boss.
