Hey Loggy, Is that 💩 ice cream or poop? Without my reading glasses I was left in doubt between a 👠and a 💩 commentary on aging! Happy Birthday keep on Tat Maybe it was supposed to be a cork? I was on the phone yesterday changing cell service from Verizon to T-Mobile, and when the call center guy (sounded like in Africa) asked for my birth date, he replied with a sound of awe in his voice, "You have seen much life!" I said, "What?" He said, "You have seen much life!" I laughed and said, "Are you saying I'm old!?" He replied very seriously, "Oh no, sir! I think you must have seen very much change since 1955..." I recall thinking that about old people myself.

I saw some poll in the 70s that showed college coeds preferred dating "older men"! So all you had to do it get to the nearest university. The only problem was that the definition of older men was 30. Congrats on making it to Medicare! Tat

I'm older than 30... but I'd have to ask my wife.

Sad Vlad, an addled murderous thug who runs a failed petro-state is trying to restore Russia to its former glory.
I'm sure Vlad's oilygarch buddies are proud Russians today.

All of this proves that God is indeed alive. And there is an afterlife. I mean this site continues to live on even after it was supposed to have died.
I shall throw in a few bucks into the offering basket if that’s what it takes to keep this thing going….
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Does anyone know how big the footprint of RR is? I'm wondering if we can archive it for a future iteration of the site.
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Trouble is, archive.org can't always save everything very well, depends on the material. They might have a bunch of posts but they might be scattered willy nilly, hard to say.

RR is 13 GB in size, which freaked out the folks at PHPBB. It would not fit on the site they thought it would and also didn't want to try to convert it. UBB is willing to upgrade for a reasonable price so we can go that way as part of updating it on the current server before moving it next month. The database is 694 MB in size, which makes it difficult to download and move as well. It will have to be done in steps.
It's huge.
But I think we can save it.
