Should men make millions for playing a game? Should people make millions for singing songs? For being great conmen? For stealing catalytic converters? Telephone spamming? The simple answer is no. And perhaps all those folks earning so much for doing so little is a part of the problems we face today.

…and good people voted AGAINST the Republican who said that women should lie back and enjoy the rape that this happening to them. Yes America, the GOP is now the pro-rape, you must carry your raper’s child to full term, anti-democracy, insurrection fomenting political party. What a bunch of deviants.

The whole Republican reason for existing now is to oppose everything Democrats say is good: Doesn't matter what it is, if Democrats or Liberals like it, it must be bad. This ignores the fact that many of those things are inherently good and should not be politicized. But of course, fixing that that would require rational thought to consider the issues. Not a thing the No Nothing Party wants their members to do.

But if Joe Biden fails to bring inflation under control and Republicans are elected because Joe Biden failed to bring inflation under control the Republicans will be expected to bring inflation under control.
Republicans will fail. Americans will run around like headless chickens because neither party really seems to have all the answers.

Greger, why would decent Americans vote for a pro-rape, you must carry your raper’s child to full term, anti-democracy, insurrection fomenting political party? You're suggesting that money is more important than values? Decent Americans are not like that.

Tesla is covering travel costs for employees seeking abortions outside their home state. Do MAGAts gloat about Elon Musk taking over Twitter to make it reflect their politics before or after they turn him in to the Texas abortion-facilitation hotline? Such a conundrum!

You're suggesting that money is more important than values? Decent Americans are not like that. In your world, only about 30% of Americans are decent. The rest need to go back where they came from, move to the Deep Dark Lawless South or just please die. Money is far more important to most people than "values". With money you can have all the abortions you want...without it you can have a baby.

In your world, only about 30% of Americans are decent. . In my world, it's the inverse, 70% of Americans are decent. The rest are Trump supporters - or pretty close to being Trump supporters. Thank you for validating that in your value system, money is king. I guess it was naive of me to believe when a conservative SCOTUS nominee said under oath that Roe was precedent, they meant it. I always suspected that a conservative would lie under oath to fulfill an agenda, I just didn't want to believe it. My bad.

But also, can we cool it on the personal accusations? In my world the decency of Americans runs the gamut and most are not inherently evil. Some, however, are, but more importantly, many, too many, are oblivious to the consequences of their actions. Those include in particular political, economic and moral "decisions". They vote in corrupt idiots to "own" the opposition; they pursue draconian solutions to subtle problems; they ignore the plight of "the other guys" - be they women, the poor, minorities, immigrants seeking a better life, etc., etc. - trying their best to "get the better" of them, presumably for their own benefit, ignoring the reality that we're all in this together. Some even do bad things with good intentions,
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
