I'm sure there's a similar "Fourteen Points of Communism" around somewhere and if a candidate or leader clicks off at least eleven or more boxes, then they are indeed communist.
Marx himself actually made a list like that. So did Sen Joseph McCarthy, were McCarthy's blacklists as accurate as your blacklists? Or did his fail because he was a fascist?
Will yours fail because you might be socialist?
Are the majority of Republicans planning to take a vote whether to destroy our democracy?
I was thinking about posting this in the "5 Laws Of Stupidity" thread, but this is a little more to the point.
Peter Navarro, Trump's Trade Advisor, was subpoenaed by the House Committee investigating Jan 6th a while back. He's made a lot of spurious claims that the committee is invalid and has no legislative purpose as the reasons he refuses to comply. (All of these have been invalidated by the courts.) He was also subpoenaed by the Grand Jury for an appearance yesterday, June 2nd, to testify and supply all documents pertaining to his communications with Donald Trump. Instead, he has been on various media making his ridiculous claims, threatening Democrats with impeachment, indictment, and even threatening arrest of Dr. Fauci "for creating the virus". Basically, "chimping-out".
So last night he was under a sealed indictment, and got arrested as a flight risk at the airport by the FBI. This is in contrast to Bannon, charged with the same offense, but who at least has been somewhat cooperative.
The penalty for Contempt of Congress can be a big fine and a year in jail. It will be interesting to see what else these guys get charged with. Some of the crimes a Federal Judge has said they likely committed carry decades long sentences. The dominos are falling...
Glenn Kirschner, retired 30 year Federal Prosecutor, has an interesting theory about that: He says it is very common for Federal Prosecutors to have simultaneous meetings with gang members (or coconspirators, in this case) to give them the choice between cooperation or indictment. They do that so they don't have a chance to destroy or tamper with evidence upon hearing another is cooperating or indicted. So he thinks on June 2 or 3, they had such meetings. Meadows and Scavino were smart enough to go for cooperation. Navarro was not. Instead, he went postal on mass media, and promptly got indicted and arrested.
Meadows already gave 1000s of documents to the January 6th committee, which the Justice Department was given. Apparently many of them were highly incriminating for the coup participants. The Justice Department announcement they were not charging Meadows and Scavino is typical for a cooperation agreement.
All this talk about the VA is interesting. The Republicans have been trying to privatize several things that are now social costs. When Trump went after the Post Office he wasn't against mail - he was against paying for the Post Office. The same thing was something the VA went through as well (a run at privatizing the VA). The really strange thing is that the Dems didn't seem to give a damn in either case.
I don't know where you got the idea that Dems didn't seem to give a damn.

Dont confuse dont give a damn with cant get it done. The days of compromise are long gone. The days of stark naked brutal raw intractable power are ahead of us when Republicans take control of Congress and probably the WH.
When J6 committee does their thing, expect MAGA cult members to simply say it reinforces their belief in The Trump. It simply doesnt matter how damning the evidence is.
ignorance is the enemy without equality there is no liberty America can survive bad policy, but not destruction of our Democratic institutions
The Democrats, as far as I can tell, rarely mention anything when the Republicans go after social costs/try to privatize government social undertakings. The only social undertaking that they have never attacked are the police. They have, however, encouraged military mercenaries. Our TV, for instance, refers to mercenaries as "contractors". Basically the Dems have allowed them to get rid of any number of things that we should actually have. Another is places to put those with mental problems that need serious help or, at least, a place to lay their heads where they won't be hurt, beat up, and otherwise treated badly. We also need government supported places to help the addicted.
I am for a lot of socially paid for undertaking that are good for our society. Socially paid for undertakings are, except for the police are under constant Republican attack. I find it really strange, its very rare for this to even get vaguely reported let alone publicly mentioned by either party. It just happens. The Republican attacks are interesting. They have a plan to accomplish the destruction of such things. The first step is to slowly, but steadily, reduce the expenses of such by reducing government support. When they can no longer do a good job they are then attacked for doing a really bad job, usually by showing us the mess that they created in the first place. Nobody mentions that. Oh, the guy that Trump put in charge of the post office. He tried to destroy a lot of the machinery they need to do their work but faithful workers, in the post office save it and got it re-installed. Biden hasn't been able to fire him and the group in charge of hiring him could be but Biden, apparently, won't do that. This stuff is marginally reported but rarely.
Remember, if you watch the normal news, cnn, abc, cbs, etc., these 'regular' news outfits rarely lie when repolrting. On the other hand they are very clever in not reporting stuff. I absolutely believe they know, exactly, what they are doing yet that too is rarely reported, by them or the Democratic party.
DeSantis' military record doesn't mean sh*t because the man is straight up mobbed up fascist to the marrow of his bones
You use the word "fascist" the same way Republicans use "socialist".
With little regard for what it means and none for the man you use it to describe.
But I guess "fascist" is the new blue anon catchphrase for everyone who disagrees with them.
If that was really the case, then you'd hear people assigning the label to EVERY Republican, past present and future. Sorry, I can't help it that there's a hardcore group of modern day Republicans openly calling for the dimunition and dismantling of democracy.
When those calls cease, and Republicans stop attempting to subvert the democratic process by ANY means possible, I'll stop referring to them with the F-word.
By the way, was Woody Guthrie a member of "BlueAnon" too?
