Stand Your Ground only gives non-felon US residents the power police have always had: To kill a perceived threat. People who go out of their way to appear as a threat, are going to get themselves killed. A lot. For example an armed shopkeeper who has posted "No Guns" signs on his doors, won't even be charged when he kills one of these morons who comes in visibly armed anyway.
And the really stupid thing about Stand Your Ground is that the defense depends on the winner's "feelings" he gets to testify about. No testimony about the dead guy's feelings or intentions is possible since he's dead. So the innocent party is the one who shoots first. We might as well just say the one wearing the black hat is the bad guy.

Lotta fellas who think they are standing their ground are getting charged with murder these days. Even policemen seem to have a little less immunity than they once did.
I just saw in the local mulletwrapper that a lady north of here(Leesburg I think) shot an intruder, called the cops and when they arrived told them...
"he's back there screaming"
She wasn't charged. Gun laws, stand your ground laws, and justice were all served in the manner they were intended.

"How's it going scum bag?"Video of grocery worker slapping Rudy Giuliani on the back and asking him that question. Of course being the frail cupcake that Rudy is, Rudy claimed assault. Don’t worry, Rudy somehow survived. He truly has the strength of ten men.

Business Insider is reporting that in the book Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words, edited by Michael Pack and Mark Paoletta, Clarence Thomas sat down with Pack for "over 30 hours between November 2017 and March 2018" to discuss his career on the nation's highest court. During those interviews, Thomas claimed his SCOTUS nomination came out of the blue. As Thomas told Pack, "I have no idea why or how I got nominated. All I know is that Justice [Thurgood] Marshall retired, and that was a shock. My reaction was, 'Oh no, this is going to be bad. People will go on a rumor that I'm one of the nominees.' America doesn't know why you're on the the Court either, Clarence. Perhaps you should do America a solid and resign. America has read your opinions, it's not like you have the capability to reason law anyway.

So Trump tried choking a Secret Service guy, huh? Yeah…that sounds just like something a ‘stable genius’ would do.

Where'd ya hear that...my sources said he grabbed the steering wheel, not the officer's throat.
I think it was Trump who called himself a stable genius, just the sort of thing you'd expect a raving madman to say.
He only wanted to go to the Capital to help hang Mike Pence. I'm truly sorry it didn't get that far.

Funny story on Yahoo: Apparently Trump's Twitter-alternate company has had a hard time hiring tech workers. They only wanted to hire Righties, but right-wing tech workers are smart enough to not want a Trump company on their resume. Some for fear of future job applications, some for not wanting to depend on one of Trump's failed businesses. The problem runs deeper than that: These are smart well-educated people, and that's as rare as hen's teeth in Trump-land. Trump says he loves the uneducated, but Cletus just can't manage an IT department! Truth Social struggled to hire tech workers
