For me, patriotism is love of country and its democracy. Many lay claim to being a patriot, however, I see only one group respecting democracy.

Folks discounting others who are not white male Christian is not celebrating democracy. Democracy is inclusive. I see one group favoring a narrow ideal of those who should benefit and have rights and legislating their views by taking or threatening to taking rights, from others.
