The issue is there are Trump loyalists in every aspect of government - from the DoJ to the Secret Service to the military brass. These MAGAts need to be rooted out because these people are against America’s fragile experiment called democracy.
Bill Barr decided even before he was nominated for AG the second time (...the first was under GWHBush when instructed Bush not to pursue the Iran-Contra cabal from the Reagan Administration and pardon them) that Trump should not face obstruction of justice. Barr ended-up obstructing the justice that he was trying to deny including Barr lying to Congress under oath.
