It's obvious that Trump has leveraged his grift such that he can afford (on other people's dime) to run this nonsense out to eternity, thus placing him beyond the reach of ordinary justice. Here's a shocker (NOT!) ---- plenty of other countries have been through the exact same thing many times.

Dead, dead, and dead. And in the blink of an eye, Trump will join them. Another footnote in history of things that should be avoided. Autocratic rule in any form has proven to be unsuccessful many times over and seldom outlasts the autocrat beyond a generation or so.

Right now they have about a 50/50 chance of doing it. Some dream of a Don and Ron ticket and a Republican dynasty...I think American voters will get in the way of that.

And I don't believe DeSantis' anti-WOKE schtick is going to continue to play well as the years go by.

I daresay any "insurrection" will be put down forthwith. Insurrections are usually antigovernment affairs and the government outguns the insurrectionist by a wide margin.

As far as appeasing Trump and his followers...? Trump's fate is in the hands of the courts and his followers will continue to vote Republican at every opportunity. Whether he is on the ticket or not. What would constitute "appeasement"?

Yesterday, Trump went judge-shopping and found Judge Cannon who issued a preliminary ruling in a "case" for the need of a Special Master where there is:

– no complaint
– no TRO or other ex parte motion
– no proof of service on the defendant
– no appearance by any lawyer representing the defendant

...but there’s an order from the judge advising the “parties” that the court intends to rule for the plaintiff and for the DoJ to respond by end of day Tuesday - yet the DoJ has never been served - AND - the DoJs side has not been heard. The ruling is in favor of Trump's request for a "Special Master."

That is a Trump appointed 'judge" for you. Trump and corruption go hand-and-hand.

This is what scares me. And I am afraid it might be too late to change it. November will tell the story because I believe, this election is democracy vs autocracy.
