Now, it seems, that Trump may have hidden more stuff someplace else. It is, I guess, just one of them things he can't not do no matter what. After all, in the end, ITS ALL HIS!!

He's had that sh*t for two years. If he was gonna sell it to Russia he's already sent copies of everything.

A federal judge unsealed today, a detailed list of material the FBI took from former President Donald Trump’s Florida home last month

Among the notable entries: “43 Empty Folders with ‘CLASSIFIED’ Banners.” There are other entries that have similar descriptions bringing a sum total of 48 empty folders that had “classified” markings:

I find it incredible that fear and handwringing over what MAGA's might do is preventing Trump from being clapped in irons right this minute.
Oh my, oh dear, the MAGA's might have a temper tantrum.
Worse, it's going to much worse than a temper tantrum.
But here's the thing people don't understand:

That tantrum is coming, arrest or no arrest.
Any excuse will do and they don't mind switching reasons.
Arrested = tantrum
NOT arrested = tantrum


It doesn't matter because one reason is the arrest, the other is celebration because no arrest makes them think he won.
You see? It's wholly interchangeable and they aren't picky about excuses.
If they think he wins they're "teaching America a lesson" and if he's perp walked, they're expressing their rage.

So why waste time worrying when it's really time to just pull the band-aid off and bring things to a head.
And then America will finally see these people for what they truly are.

There's no extricating America from this sick place we're in without a heavy price to pay so it's time to accept that and push the button in the name of justice and pay the price.
And once that price is paid, America will finally be able to move on and into a better future...minus MAGA.

Generally, I agree.

Magaworld is a never-ending tantrum. It flairs up and dies down. If they arrested DJT today and clapped him in irons, I don't think it would change the results of the election much.

But it would be exceedingly unwise to do anything to fire up the Republican base this near to an election already slated to be dangerous. That's just a political fact. It would counteract abortion, so strategically I'd wipe that from the slate...Senate would gain one seat, House lose 20-22 seats. effectively the same as Pero has it pegged now and without my more hopeful 15 seat loss.

I'll enjoy the sh*tshow one way or the other.

If I was giving the orders I'd wait til right after the election and slam him with espionage charges. Force the trial through before Pelosi hands over the gavel and be done with him.

They've been handling him with kidskin gloves because of his status as a former president and I expect that to continue. Former presidents are probably treated pretty well in those top-notch executive crime prisons.

Those empty folders probably just got thrown in the trash because Trump didn't find anything interesting in them....but for legal purposes, we must assume the lost documents were sold to Russian operatives...

Maggie Haggerman of the NYT describes Trump's obsession with keeping "momentos" as "pack-rattery."

Media reports indicate that in every box with classified info, there were also newspaper clippings. An analysis of the dates of the newspaper clippings coincided with when Trump was handed the classified intel for his review.

If this was Trump's pattern, there are no newspaper clippings past November 20, 2020. This means no notes, no briefings of what led up to the J6 insurrection, and no details of the Abraham Accords - which means that more boxes are still missing.

s***-for-brains "judge' Aileen Cannon just ruled in favor of Trump's request for a Special Master based on Executive Privilege. The DoJ has already gone through the boxes and cataloged them.

Trump's idiot lawyers simply want to know what's in the boxes so they can go back and rework their arguments.

The woman did exactly what she said was going to do; she ruled in favor of Trump having a Special Master. She had her desired result, she just had to backfill with lame legal citing that supported her desired outcome. But, she didn't even do that - which makes today's ruling even more absurd and laughable.
