The whole reason the "OUT" movement exists is because self-loathing closeted gay men do some pretty awful and vicious things to innocent people (gay AND straight) to compensate for their self-loathing.
Witness J. Edgar Hoover, just as one example. The whole reason the out movement exists is because of ACT-UP from the early 90s as push-back to the Regan Administration's lack of federal funding for the HIV crisis and finding a cure and closeted homosexuals said nothing and pretended to act str8 - so they were outed. Dr. Fauci was involved in the Reagan Administration's foot-dragging. He has since seen the light.  Fauci started out a "a good Catholic boy" so it's not surprising he took a little time to get up to speed.

Alameda County Sheriff Deputy (SF Bay area) arrested in double murder after failing psyche exam. Forty-seven other Deputies on leave for failing their psyche exam. I know this is not good, but it’s not as bad as it sounds.

I wonder what the Alameda County HR thought “D. Not suited” meant? The guy didn’t wear a suit and the tie to the evaluation? And there were 48 of them with failed psyche evals and they were hired anyway and given a badge and gun?!? Incredible!

The sooner it makes landfall the better for me. F*ck South Florida, they can all eat sh*t and die.
It was raining when I went to bed, it's raining now. Wind is already gusting in the 20s.
It's Cat 4 right now but will degrade to a tropical storm by the time it reaches me. More or less the same storm that hit Puerto Rico and Cuba.
We might see 12-15 inches of rainfall with gusts 60 to 80 mph. I haven't stocked up on anything or made any preparations...what's a cripple gonna do, eh?
I thought it would pass well west of me.
Remember Donald Trump and his Sharpie drawn hurricane prediction...? He's been here long enough to call himself a Floridian and that's how we do hurricane forecasts here.
A glance, a dismissal, denial, denial, denial until it's right on top of us.
Northerners have been rushing around for days, boarding up windows and throwing lawn furniture in the pool. Hoarding all manner of things. I coulda placed a grocery order but didn't want the delivery guy to have to bring me groceries in the rain.
I'll wait til it's over then make them share the loaves and fishes with me.

The current path is to enter Ft. Meyers, become a tropical storm and head due north, and exit at Daytona Beach and could become a hurricane again once it reaches the Atlantic.
