By the way, are you of the opinion that all these nations who have been burned down by such excesses all recover and that life in those places goes back to normal again?
Ever talk to the families of people impacted BY those excesses? Ever talk to the former residents of the United States about their suffering? The ones we still keep in internment camps? Or the former residents of Africa, who we brought here in chains? The only reason I wasn't born in Germany is that my many time's great grandfather was conscripted there to fight for the British in the Revolutionary war. He was then captured in battle and agreed to fight for American forces in return for 40 acres of land. When Charlemagne went door to door and asked "Pagan or Christian?" My ancestors wisely said "Christian" So that pagans would survive. Have I told you of the burning times? When my people were burned wholesale across Europe and here as well? The answer is yes, Jeffery, people rebuild as best they can and life gets back to normal. Until the sh*t hits the fan again and it's rinse and repeat... Politics as usual isn't just the soft warm summer breeze, it's the cold winds of winter too. If your ship isn't worthy in a storm, it wasn't much of a ship to begin with. Hey, if you're okay with thugs and armed mercenaries stealing your family's assets and just saying "no big deal" I guess you'll be okay with it happening again under our constitutional republic. Enjoy the yoke.

When did you say the thugs were coming? In 2024 if a Dem doesn't win? Or if Garland doesn't prosecute...that's what Rick says will trigger the apocalypse.
What if they don't come and seize my assets by then? What if Garland doesn't prosecute and life goes on as normal? Yall sound like them preachers that forecast the end of times...and keep moving the dates up when the sun continues to rise.

Life going on as normal: The situation with the poll watcher had gotten so bad that Anne Risku, the election director in North Carolina's Wayne County, had to intervene via speakerphone.
"You need to back off!" Risku recalled hollering after the woman wedged herself between a voter and the machine where the voter was trying to cast his ballot at a precinct about 60 miles southeast of Raleigh.
The man eventually was able to vote, but the incident was one of several Risku cited from the May primary that made her worry about a wave of newly aggressive poll watchers. Many have spent the past two years steeped in lies about the accuracy of the 2020 election.
Those fears led the North Carolina State Board of Elections in August to tighten rules governing poll watchers. But the state's rules review board, appointed by the Republican-controlled Legislature, blocked the new poll watcher regulations in late September, leaving election officials such as Risku without additional tools to control behavior on Election Day, Nov. 8. If your ship isn't worthy in a storm, it wasn't much of a ship to begin with. It's kind of weird because you seem to be contradicting yourself. First you're mocking my mention of anti-democracy operatives, aka thugs etc, then you imply that if you don't fight back, your ship isn't worthy of surviving a "storm". Can't have it both ways. I mention this stuff because talk of diminishing our democracy is a call to war, it's "fighting words", it's a significant threat. You reply by mocking that but then you turn around and mention all that your own ancestry has been through, then you conclude by saying it's business as usual but if you can't survive it, your "ship" must have been weak and structurally unsound. As I said earlier, I can't hope to persuade you, especially since you're dead set on telling us that you don't follow current events like the J6 hearings, and when I or almost anyone brings up stuff like that you're almost the first one to say "Ho hum, business as usual, nothing to see here" etc etc. Election denial is no longer just an inside joke, it's going to become LAW in several states pretty soon. Guess that's no big deal? I kind of think it is. Armed confrontations at polling places are probably going to be in the news in a few weeks. I guess that's no big deal either.

Can't have it both ways. I simply have faith that the America we have built is a sturdy enough ship to survive any storm. You. on the other hand, are running about and shouting that the ship is sinking. Your ship is apparently weak and unseaworthy. Mine is going to weather this storm without any problems.
