Last night was the 6th episode of the 48th season of SNL - and the best episode this season, so far. The cold open jumped on the Toxic Trump bandwagon via "Fox & Friends". Dave Chappell hosted and performed a monologue with his trademark story-telling, taking controversial topics, hitting them with hard truth in a humorous way. The monologue was 15 mins long.

Bloomberg Financial did an analysis of Trump's intake from his rubes. Trump spends 0.91 to bring in a dollar. That's only 0.09 cents profit per dollar.. That means, on $100,000,000 (one-hundred million), Trump's profit is $900,00 (nine-hundred thousand). That's nothing. Trump probably spends $900,000 a month keeping his golf courses green.

That guy can't do ANYTHING right. laugh

That tired orange thing running for POTUS again is completely laughable. Trump loves losing doesn’t he?

This goes back to my assertion that Trump has been the greatest asset the Democrats have going for them. Because of Trump the Democrats gained control of the house in 2018, a blue wave election. Then in 2020, the Democrats gained control of the senate and the presidency. Trump handed both Georgia senate seats to the democrats in the January 2021 senate runoff. Now the midterms, Trump personally destroyed the red wave as the GOP limps to control of the House. Trump by his choices of very poor-quality candidates, too extreme, perhaps too MAGA to win in the general election like Walker, Oz, Laxalt, Masters Bolduc etc. He single handed help the Democrats retain control of the senate. Then Trump also chose a bunch of house candidate who lost in districts that a normal, non-MAGA republican candidate would have won.

If I were a democratic political strategist, I’d keep Trump around as the leader of the Republican Party just because of his influence in picking and getting nominated non-electable candidates come general election time. Him running and being nominate for the presidency in 2024, that would be heaven sent for the Democrats.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I moved to San Francisco between Christmas 1990 and NY Day 1991 to start college in January 1991.

I remember walking around Union Square (the high-end shopping district) and the ladies generally wore bright red winter coats. I remember thinking: This is a classy place.

How about if you were a strategist in Weimar Germany in the Thirties?
Mind you, to be clear, I am not labeling you as a Nazi, I'm simply asking if you've really given any serious thought to the fact that allowing Trump ANY foothold whatsoever is playing with dynamite.

Are you so unaware of the similarity in fash historical patterns that it escapes you how close we came?
