I wouldn't call it throwing him under the bus. We've seen them dis him before then turnaround a week later and go to Florida and kiss his orange ass. 9 out of 10 of GOP legislators will still vote for him in 2024, if he makes it to election day.
It's hard to say if the republican electorate is tired of him yet. Oh yeah they'll be back to groveling and ring kissing tootsuite.
