We may be entering another decade of "the great fraud": FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried charged with fraud ; Danske Bank pleads guilty to resolve long-running Estonia money-laundering probe; Elon Musk’s Big Twitter Adventure Will End in Disaster

Each of these is a MULTI-billion-dollar scam, as big, or bigger than Enron, WorldCom, Bernie Madoff, Charles Ponzi...

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Breakthrough on the fusion energy front:

Fusion Breakeven Surpassed

Scientists at Lawrence Livermore lab in California ran a fusion experiment that used 2 megajoules of laser energy to ignite and got 3 megajoules out. That far exceeds breakeven.

It's coming!

I am happy for my children, but I don't think I'll ever see it in action.

I wrote about this on SU 12/11/22 on the Science thread, but it's not showing up in the Current Topics in the left-side column. So I wrote about the thread not showing up on the Tell It To The Editiors, and now Tell It To The Editors is not showing-up in the left-side column.

Trump's anti-immigration policies have hurt America:

Labor Shortage

I've been posting about this for a while. Looks like some economists agree.

Quote
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell has estimated that the economy is short an astonishing 3.5 million workers, and economists estimate half of those workers would typically be migrants allowed into the country, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

Did any really expect stellar policies from a six-bankruptcy, failed businessman who doesn't know his ass from a hole-in-the-ground and is too stupid to know he's stupid? crazy

I responded to your thread to see if that changed its status.
