The reason Republicans did poorly is always the same: Their ideas suck. When ever they get enough power to make changes to suit them, there is a popular backlash. Their only hope is to use fear and xenophobia to manipulate enough voters to vote against their own self-interest. They have to change people to see their self-interest as things that actually harm them.
I see a Trump appointee judge in North Texas has ruled that Title 10 is unconstitutional. He invited the plaintiff to write his order, even though the plaintiff has zero standing in his suit. Title 10 supplies a lot of health care for poor people. The plaintiff claims Title 10 giving out birth control violates his constitutional right to keep his daughters from having sex until they marry, so nobody else should have birth control.
Backlash is coming.
Ironic idea: All young people in Texas switch to oral and anal sex: No birth control needed! No abortions, either.
