Most of the time elections boil down to a beauty contest, popularity contest especially with independents, the non-political junkies. Who wins their vote is usually the most likable as a person or in some cases, the least disliked as a person. You can throw in being a charismatic candidate also where independents are concerned. Whether or not a candidate would make a good or bad president doesn’t enter the equation.I think Harris just doesn’t have that personality that would lead to a successful election campaign. Which means I doubt she could attract and win the independent vote. She may make a very effective president, but she seems to rub folks the wrong way. To be a good president, first one must get elected. Today that means winning the independent vote. Independents view of Harris, 29% favorable/58% unfavorable. As I stated many times, history has shown folks usually won’t vote for someone they dislike.
