Trump was going to hold a press confrence this coming Monday and had a big, beautiful report with charts of the 2020 GA "election fraud" to refute his 4th indictment. Now he needs three years to prepare?

That orange clown doesn’t know if he’s coming or going. crazy

Quote
“Both parties are of advanced age, and a stay of this case pending resolution of Mr. Trump’s appeal would threaten delaying any compensation to which Ms. Carroll might be entitled by at least several months, if not a year or more."

The judge wants Trump to pay-up before Trump keels over. laugh

The official mugshot of the old flabby-assed scofflaw who’s gotten away with so much criming over the years because the system has been built for him by people like him:

As an integral part of the conspiracy, wouldn't he know what he did? He doesn't need time to prepare .... he needs time to stall, hoping a Republican wins the election and pardons him on day one.

Next year the crazies will be turned loose

It was a dull, grey, cold morning in the Netherlands, a day just the one before and the one the day before. Jack Smith sipped his coffee. He had been preparing his case against Salih Mustafa day after day, for months. He thought and dreamed of little else. Mustafa’s victims, of torture, of murder, had been waiting 22 years for justice and Smith was determined they would get it. 4,000 miles away, in Washington D.C., another criminal was about to make his move. Another criminal who would consume Jack’s thoughts for months on end.

“Never surrender”, he hissed at the American people, glaring through the camera straight into the eyes of the American people, while surrendering to charges brought by the American people.

Trump can't be pardoned in Georgia by the governor, because the Governor doesn't have that power. It resides in the parole board, and can't be considered until the convict has served five years of his sentence. So if Trump is convicted of ANY of these serious crimes in Georgia, he has to serve five years minimum. But long before that, he's out on bail, with a pretty restricted set of release conditions. Nobody actually thinks he can help himself from voiding his conditions of release. I'm pretty sure his prosecutor is going to report any violations to the judge, and the judge has already told him violations could result in pre-trial detention. That could be in Fulton County Jail, one of the worst jails in the country. So Donald could rot in jail until his requested 2026 trial date! That would be pretty funny. But of course his lawyers would demand a speedy trial if he was detained. He might also request revocation of bail in one of his federal trials just to get transferred into federal custody!

I have posted about Trump's disqualification under the 14th amendment here in the past, and now some of the best constitutional scholars, on both left and right, are saying that amendment is self-actualizing and he's already disqualified. That means no conviction, trial, or legislation is required to make that so. Just as I predicted in 2021. If all disqualification requires as per the 14th is an oath to defend the constitution and giving "aid or comfort" to an insurrectionist, then most of the Republicans in congress and state legislatures, many judges, and state officials could be removed from office for life. There is some suggestion that Jack Smith has not charged Trump with insurrection just so a Not Guilty verdict does not interfere with that 14th Amendment process. A Florida lawyer has already filed a request with a state court to rule that Trump is disqualified, and lawyers in many other states will follow with their requests. In states with Secretaries of State who agree to exclude Trump from the ballot, Trump would have to sue to get his name added. But the facts are well known, and the 14th Amendment is unambiguous.

Inmate P01135809's DC court date is 03/04/23. smile

Remember, criminal orange Fatboy was to have a press conference on 08/14/23 with a big beautiful report and charts of election fraud in GA - before his attorneys said to can the press conference and to use said beautiful report and charts during the trial.

Orange Fatboy is ready now.

Former Atlanta mayor and judge said Trump's new lawyer doesn't mind going to trial, but he also negotiates plea deals. What sort of a plea deal would be acceptable to the DA? What sort of plea deal would be acceptable to Trump? Is there any intersection between the sets in a Venn diagram, or are they just circles on opposite sides of the graph? Considering Trump acts like a mob boss, getting other people to do his bidding, would the DA settle for less than cutting off that communication entirely?

Trump lives for that. Which is why I think pre-trial detention might just kill him or drive him totally insane.
