I received this week’s enthusiasm for voting for president poll, 21-23 July 2024. Which does show an uptick in enthusiasm in voting for the president from Biden to Harris. Especially among Democrats. But Democrats still trail Republicans in the enthusiasm gap.
Question 3, 24 July all 48% enthusiastic/34% unenthusiastic, Democrats 54% enthusiastic/27% unenthusiastic, independents 31% enthusiastic/53% unenthusiastic, republicans 62% enthusiastic/22% unenthusiastic
Question 3, 16 July all 43% enthusiastic/41% unenthusiastic, Democrats 43% enthusiastic/38% unenthusiastic, independents 25% enthusiastic/60% unenthusiastic, republicans 67% enthusiastic/20% unenthusiastic

Voter enthusiasm in voting for the presidency is still far behind the enthusiasm shown in 2020.
Question 22 for 2020, all 76% enthusiastic/12% unenthusiastic, Democrats 79% enthusiastic/10% unenthusiastic, independents 61% enthusiastic/23% unenthusiastic, Republicans 87% enthusiastic/5% unenthusiastic.

We still need to give this a couple to three weeks to see if this uptick was a temporary bounce as Harris replaced Biden for the Democrats or the real thing.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
